Abstract

This study aims to (a) Identify and analyze the factors that become obstacles in the law enforcement process to overcome illegal logging practices in Konawe Regency, (b) Identify and analyze the efforts made in implementing law enforcement to overcome illegal logging in Konawe Regency. Research in the study on the Effectiveness of Law Enforcement in Overcoming Illegal Logging in Konawe Regency, the type of research used is descriptive research. Descriptive research is one type of research that aims to present a complete picture of the relationship between the phenomena being tested. The results of the study of factors that influence law enforcement are related to human resources (HR), facilities or facilities of law enforcement officers in carrying out their duties. Law enforcement requires adequate human resources, facilities or facilities both in quantity and quality. The minimal number and low quality of human resources and limited facilities or facilities owned, of course, can hinder law enforcement. Law enforcement in overcoming illegal logging practices as one of the efforts to overcome illegal logging crimes based on existing laws, which as a result of illegal logging can cause many losses to the government, forests and their environment and ecosystems, society and all life that begins to die, both flora and fauna. So that in overcoming illegal logging practices there are obstacles in the law enforcement process. (b) Efforts to overcome illegal logging can be carried out through two approaches, namely preventive efforts and repressive efforts..
