Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of law enforcement on illegal mining in Bombana Regency and the inhibiting factors in law enforcement on illegal mining in Bombana Regency. The study was conducted in Kendari City, precisely at the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Office and the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Mining Service. This study uses descriptive research because the data obtained in the field is presented descriptively using the empirical normative approach method. Based on the analysis of the data and facts that the author has obtained, the author concludes, among others: a. Inhibiting factors in law enforcement on illegal mining in Bombana Regency, namely the implementation of law enforcement on illegal mining is still not optimal due to various constraints and obstacles to existing resources, including human resources from Polda personnel, financial support and facilities and infrastructure. Procurement of patrol vehicles by considering the characteristics of the Bombana Regency area and inventorying, checking and carrying out routine maintenance and care of all materials and facilities of patrol vehicles and their equipment, so that the service life of the patrol boats owned can last a long time and the fulfillment of the budget that supports implementation can be met through submission in the work program plan and stated in the DIPA RKA-KL; b) Efforts made by the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police in enforcing the law on illegal mining in Bombana Regency, namely coordinating efforts to overcome it, namely by forming a Coordination Team for Overcoming Illegal Mining, Misuse of Fuel, as well as the Destruction of Electrical Installations and Theft of Electricity, are the basis for the preparation of policies and programs as well as the operationalization of coordinated overcoming and increasing the capabilities of Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police personnel in terms of legality, opportunities, and obligations.
