Abstract

The purpose of this study is to: 1). To determine the inhibiting factors in law enforcement against perpetrators of online gambling crimes. 2). To determine what efforts must be made to overcome online gambling crimes at the Konawe Police. This study was conducted in Konawe Regency, precisely at the Konawe Police, using the type of research, namely empirical normative. The data collection method used was document study, field surveys and interviews using qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen: 1). Inhibiting factors in law enforcement against perpetrators of online gambling crimes, namely the urge to eradicate gambling is hampered by ethnic and religious diversity, each of which has a different understanding in responding to gambling problems. This is where the form of online gambling develops where this organized gambling also has support from the community or a community that is less concerned about environmental order. 2). Efforts made to overcome online gambling crimes include efforts that must be carried out systematically, integrated and sustainable and must be supported by the community and government according to their respective potential and existence. Intensification of religious and spiritual education to strengthen faith in religious values ​​as early as possible is a method that needs serious attention from various parties. It is also necessary to increase the quantity of activities and activities for young people to channel their excess energy including recreation.
